Why do some handicappers only list the records of a single season, or from only a small subset of their picks?

In a nutshell, it's to confuse you. Unless the handicapper lists their complete record, for every pick, across all seasons for each sport you are interested in, they are probably losers and wish to hide the fact.

Why? It's easy to get lucky and have a single good season. It's even easier when you only look at the 3-star picks instead of the 5-star picks. Their record is better still when you look only at Wednesday games... Anyway, you get the point I hope. They are just cherry picking whichever subset of selections they want.

So always make sure you see the complete track record of all their picks, across all seasons for each sport that interests you. Don't accept "subset specials".
